Working With Dyslexic ChildrenI offer one to one tuition with bespoke games based interactive learning support and develop individually tailored resources to suit each individual child, according to their strengths and interests.
How We Work
The focus on learning with me is to improve, enhance and enjoy. My role is to help each learner identify how to access their true potential; to develop life skills and strategies that will overcome areas that challenge them and to excel as only dyslexic students can. I can also provide individual screening sessions using formal and informal tests if required. I am also able to provide resources for specific learning projects.
What I do
I offer individual students dyslexia screening sessions with a psychological profile to ensure that the client receives a personal evaluation that is delivered positively and can be utilised for learning.
I am privileged to work with moderate to severely dyslexic children of all ages and abilities as well as, more recently, young adults too. I use kinaesthetic, games based, unorthodox methods of teaching (!) in individually tailored sessions, designed to ignite the student’s interest and enthusiasm in order to try and motivate them.
Where am I?
I am based in Shoreham, but cover the areas of Worthing, Southwick, Portslade, Hove, Brighton and the rest of Sussex.

Workshops
Individually tailored workshops for one to one or group therapy.
Art Therapy
Using (often child-led) Art Therapy, the language of Emotional Colour Literacy and navigating continual positive pastoral care. Self regulation and de escalation exercises for students to learn about their needs and how best to approach and navigate the complexities of life and personal relationships.
